My name is Jessica! I usually go by Jess though.

 

Just like every other photog's website bio you've viewed, I too am a passionate photographer.

 

I am always practicing the possibility of capturing pure and authentic moments. Whether that be with you for a portrait session, for family holiday cards, an engagement session, or your elopement/wedding! I don't confine myself to one category of photography because the hippy inside me believes there is beauty in every walk of life.

On a good day you'll catch me outdoors, and on a bad day you'll also catch me outdoors haha. I grew up in the mountains barefoot jumping off rocks and swimming in alpine lakes, mountain biking, hiking to the top of a mountain to watch the sunset.. you get the idea. I have always been the girl who is seeking adventure or visiting a new country (around 18 so far!), living for the memories. Add in a glass of red zin (but have you ever had Saldo??) or a good Kölsch beer and that makes a damn fine day!

I have been exposed to photography since I was very young, practicing on my grandfather's film Nikon. I have always loved the idea of being able to freeze something in time. My editing style is timeless, bright, and vibrant images that you can show off for years to come, even when the current editing trends change. You chose that specific bridesmaids dress color, those floral hues, that lakeside location for a reason right? Let's keep it that way! No muddied out, orange/brown hues here. Even though there is a time and place for maybe a "moodier" photo, your wedding photos aren't it; these will be timeless beauties you can show off in 5, 10, or even 50 years. Remember when blue eyeliner, saggy pants, and the sepia brown tone photos were all the rage? Let's keep the trends in the past please.

What makes me different is that I actually CARE. I care that you have fun and your experience will be one you happily tell your friends about, I care that your photos will stand out next to a competitors, I care that you are treated with kindness, respect and compassion, & I care that you have and can cherish photos of parts of your life that you will never get back. It is my goal to always be genuine, and to produce images that will last you a lifetime. Don't worry if you've never had your photo taken, or you think you're awkward in front of the camera (hello that's me), my job is to help create a comfortable, fun, and natural environment for you to be yourselves while I give you prompts and guidance... no American Gothic or Ricky Bobby "I'm not sure what to do with my hands!!" round here haha.
